The APTA Honors & Awards Program recognizes outstanding achievements by members in the areas of overall accomplishment, education, practice and service, publications, research, and academic excellence.
Nominations and Selections
The APTA Honors & Awards Program nomination period is Sept. 1-Dec. 1 annually. Late submissions will not be considered.
Selected recipients and their nominators are typically notified in May, with recipients invited to that year's APTA Honors & Awards Ceremony held in conjunction with APTA Leadership Congress.

Volunteer groups appointed by the APTA Board of Directors include committees and task forces.
Committees help inform the Board's decision making on strategies, priorities, and core functions. Task forces help inform the Board's decision making on specific emerging issues and initiatives.
The Board typically seeks volunteers for committees each summer for terms beginning the following year. Volunteers for task forces and other groups are sought as needed throughout the year.

The APTA Association Leadership Scholars Program is an investment in the future of the profession.
This innovative initiative fosters new, diverse leaders and thinkers by supporting the journey of APTA members as they prepare to lead the association in pursuit of its vision.
During the one-year program, scholars participate in a robust curriculum that covers association leadership and management topics, with activities that can include group projects and engagement opportunities. Graduates of the program come away with new understanding, new skills, and a personal leadership development program that they can put to use to benefit the profession.

Login to the platform with your APTA email and password.
2. Create
Create your online submission.
3. Save
During the Call for Submission period, your submission can be saved as DRAFT until all the required information is completed and attachments uploaded. As each section is complete, you will see a appear in the category tab when the submission is saved. At any time, you can download and print your submission by clicking on the
icon in the Submission Summary section.
4. Submit
On completion, save your Submission as FINAL. Download and print a copy of your submission for your records by clicking on the icon in the Submission Summary section in the right column. Note: If an update is required prior to the Call for Submissions period, you can make the update and resave as FINAL.

When preparing an application on APTA Achieve, we encourage participants follow these tips:- Have your CV/resume updated and ready.
- Provide thorough and thoughtful responses to the application questions, focusing on information that is most specifically relevant to the program application and highlights your most important contributions.
- Visit apta.org to familiarize yourself with the specifications of the group or award you're applying for.
- Take note of the key dates and deadlines shown throughout the APTA Achieve site.
- APTA Achieve will send you periodic emails throughout the application process. Please make sure that achieve@apta.org is on your email safe sender list.
